2020 Update

Addressing Racism and Discrimination

We – the ownership at Elements Traverse – are committed to human rights and addressing systemic racism, bigotry, discrimination and oppression. The fear, anger, hurt, and frustration felt by so many in our community is justified, and we cannot allow its source to continue unaddressed. As a company and as individuals, we recognize that we have weaknesses, and that there is work to be done to address our own privilege, biases and prejudices. We desire a workplace and program that acknowledges and values differences and diversity in our community.

We realize this is more than providing inclusion or anti-harassment training. This is a daily effort to confront our individual and collective privileges and prejudices. This is engaging in honest and open dialogue with clients and staff members even if it's uncomfortable.

We will continue to utilize our Diversity and Inclusion panel to promote awareness and accountability at both Traverse and our partner program Elements Wilderness. Additionally, we will continue to identify and pursue other opportunities for Elements Traverse to make a difference both within and outside of the organization.

We welcome your thoughts on how Elements Traverse can better think about and approach these issues.

Elements Traverse is open and accepting new clients. We have extensive social distancing and hygience protocols in place, and will continue following them even as the state of Utah reopens. We are committed to the well-being and health of our clients, staff and local community. If you are interested in enrollment and would like to learn more about what we're doing to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 in our program, please give us a call at 866-542-2252
