Tom M

Instructor

Tom grew up in the great garden state of New Jersey, spending as much time out in the woods as possible. He fell in love with the wilderness while on a NOLS backpacking trip in Alaska, and has continued to play and work outdoors ever since. After graduating from Boston College with a degree in English, he moved to The Bahamas to work at a semester school. While there, he taught classes, led kayak trips, mentored students, and worked for a sustainability-focused gap year program. Since moving back to the USA, Tom has spent time in the Adirondacks of upstate NY, led backpacking trips throughout Wyoming, and has found a welcoming home here in Utah.
